Idea Discussion - Windmill

  1. cardboard as blades, possibly the sandpaper also. Use some of the screws and such for the mechanic bits. Could incorporate this into a rube goldberg machine by having the spinning blades wind up some wire taken from the AC adapters, which could set in motion a whole slew of things. (Power the wind mill with an external fan, as power supplies are allowed)

  2. A windmill could also be used as a power source for a conveyor. It could transport something from one container to another.

  3. What if we used that half motor with the copper from one of the AC adaptors to create a generator, have the windmill turn the coil, generate some current to light the light bulb? How awesome would that be?

  4. The trouble with a windmill being expected to produce electricity or do work (i.e. move) is that you need wind.

    I like this idea as part of the Rube Goldberg contraption.

  5. I don't think that is trouble that is the point. To produce motion from the wind mill. And the rules allow for us to use a fan to power the windmill
